Claus leads the HLB amavat® Initiative providing VAT Compliance Services for e-commerce businesses in the EU and is Member of the Leadership Team HLB Poland and Managing Partner of HLB member firm getsix.

After studying business administration, Claus gained a wealth of international experience working for a German construction group operating worldwide. Claus decided to found his own advisory firm in 2007 and become a founding partner at getsix, a HLB member firm in Poland. Now getsix is one of the leading accounting firms in Poland.

His many years of international experience help him understand the management challenges of international companies in order to successfully complete projects in new and sometimes difficult markets. He has helped many getsix clients to successfully complete their market entry in Poland, his home market. As Managing Partner of getsix, Claus also acts as a contact for Polish companies intending to expand abroad, especially to Germany.

At the beginning of 2017 Claus launched the HLB amavat® initiative with the aim to support online sellers in their obligations regarding their VAT Compliance in Europe.  amavat® now successfully serves several hundred online sellers and e-commerce businesses and provides clear proof that the HLB network provides clients with professional cross-border services.
